There are many banqueting venues and halls suitable in size and location for a Wedding Reception or party but the deco does not really compliment the occasion it is being hired for. It has been, and still is, possible to improve the appearance of a room or marquee by decorating it with displays of flowers and plants and indeed balloons. Some of the latest fashions in wedding and party decor comes in the forms of balloons, Mirror plates and Vases as table centrepieces.
The balloons are not just any old balloons as celebration balloons come in variety of shapes and sizes which is perfect when planning on some themed event or when wanting a perfect match to a bridesmaid dress.
Function room decoration is particularly well suited to enhancing a Wedding Reception, and it can be the finishing touches that make your day that extra bit special.
Helium balloons can be floor standing, but more than often they are found at the centre of Wedding Reception and party tables. They should be positioned correctly to enhance the upper part of the function room and not to interfere with the space in between therefore allowing your guests to chat across the tables. There is nothing worse than having to dodge a helium balloon when trying to make a conversation with someone sitting opposite.
Increasingly popular now are Mirror plates placed in the centre of tables. These can be used on their own with a simple scattering of table crystals or rose petals, or they can form part of a wonderful table centrepiece when used alongside helium balloons or Vases.
Mirror Plates and Vases can be expensive to purchase and especially when using them just for one occasion. By hiring the mirror plates or vases, not only do you get the impressive effect these give, but also for a fraction of the cost.
Clear Glass Ball Vases, and Cylinder Vases look stunning at the centre of any table, and when paired together with a Flora light, (a submersible light placed in the centre of the vase) they give an impressive effect as the night draws in. The Floralights are not suitable for using with the Lily vases due to their narrow neck but the Lily Vases look impressive enough when filled with clear or coloured Deco Beads or Crystals.
It is all well concentrating on the centre of your guest tables but do not forget the top Table at a Wedding. Although the Bride and Groom should be the centre of attention on this table, a simple swag of ivy or organza can look stunning enough without going overboard.
You can also finish off your guest tables with table runners in the same organza as what is on the top table.
There are endless ideas for Party decor, and with more and more people celebrating their 40th and 50th birthdays with parties, and more people have Christenings for a much larger audience than a small family gathering, party decor is also on the up.
